Windows 7 Not Supported

Postby shutchin » Tue Oct 20, 2009 7:08 am

Just letting you know in case you didn't already - The app does not properly install on the Windows 7 platform. During the 3rd install (AirPhones itself), about halfway through I get the attached error. It still says that AirPhones was installed afterward, but the application does not launch when I click the icon in the start menu.

Great application idea - been looking for this for a while. Just my luck that it doesn't cooperate with 7.

Thanks,
Shane

After I posted that, I went to uninstall and got this error. Hope it helps.

Hi!
Image

I've got the same result - despite the fact that the exe actually does launch:

It also recognizes my iphone and asks to connect.

Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything with the music - it remains coming from PC speakers.

And it crashes when you try to close the exe.

It also crashes when I click "Turn server off".

I've tried to open it with admin rights, but it keeps crashing.

Note: If you need a beta tester or german translator, I can help :)

Just wanted to say that I was able to install in Windows 7. At first it didn't work. What seemed to help was to install Bonjour that I downloaded from Apple and then re-installed Airphone using the .msi file. I should qualify "works" by saying that the sound coming out of my iPhone stutters. So I'm hoping for the buffering fix mentioned in other posts.

BTW, while installing using the recommended method, the Bonjour installer offered repair or remove as options as if I had previously installed it (which I hadn't)!
